Lorys Hair Cream & Matrix Essentials Sensoria Care Review

My hair is one of the many parts of my body that I truly care about. It’s my crowning glory and I know it’s one of the reasons why women are beautiful. I naturally have a wavy hair and its color is sort of copper brown, especially under the sunlight. I wasn’t blessed with thick, healthy, pin straight hair and it’s not a secret that I like having it straight-before (I’m currently growing out my curls).

My hair needs an extra TLC since it has undergone two Rebonding sessions already, though my natural curls were growing out up to my chin, the tips of my locks has become really dry and frizzy. I know I have to do something about it aside from shampoo and conditioner.

Matrix Essentials Sensoria Care Conditioning Cream Bath with Apricot

I finished the whole tub already and my mom threw it away so I didn’t get the chance to take a pic of it. Pic courtesy of Google.

While I was having my mani and pedi at the spa, the owner asked if I want to get my hair done, she assessed the thickness and length of my hair and told me it will cost around 400 pesos. I thought, why not? But I asked them first what product they are going to use since I’m very particular of what I put in my hair. They said it’s Matrix Sensoria Care. I’ve seen this product a lot in other salons as well and read good reviews about it. I don’t have enough cash with me that day since the spa was only across to our village and I didn’t bother bringing much cash with me. When I went home, I totally forgot about it lol!

When I’m at my mom’s place at Cavite, I went to the local mall and visited HBC. They were on sale so I immediately grab one, paid, and left.

I used it as a heavy conditioner and I covered my hair with a shower cap for around 20 mins. I like the scent and the consistency of the product. It’s more like a conditioner-consistency than a treatment/creamy one. I also like the fact that I didn’t suffer any hair loss. I know it’s a bad product when my hair is going crazy with hair fall (hello, The Body Shop Banana Shampoo!).

My hair feels soft and silky even the next day. It doesn’t feel greasy at all like some conditioner does to my hair. It doesn’t do much if you’re targeting for a shinier hair, but it will make your hair more manageable without looking flat. I love this product so much that I finished the whole tub already since I’m also using it as a conditioner too. I’m going to try the Apricot with Grape Fruit extract variant soon!

Quality: This product is more superior if used as a treatment. It would be a waste to use it as conditioner since using this twice a week is already good enough J I don’t like the packaging though. We all know it’s unhygienic to double dip in a tub.

Price: I got this for 220pesos, 500ml tub.

Will I purchase again? Of course! I think this is my HG hair treatment for now.

Lorys Hair Cream in Fruit Cocktail

I’ve been reading blogs and watching videos of local bloggers and I was surprised to see this product came to beauty blogger’s attention. I’ve been eyeing this product a lot whenever I go to Watson’s but being the OC that I am when it comes to my hair, I’m a bit wary of using the product since I can’t see any good reviews yet. But when I saw this product spread like a plague on blogs, I was like, okay I need to try those lol!

5 variants.

“Lorys Hair Cream is a product that is made in Brazil. It is an internationally recognized brand available in countries such as USA, UK, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and many more. Just recently Lorys has entered into the Philippines.
Lorys is made from all natural ingredients, which gives your hair a natural glow. It can be used as a conditioner or as a hot oil treatment. It is very simple to use even at the comfort of your own home. Lorys enhances the growth and density of your hair and restores its natural shine and softness.”
-From their FB account.
Lorys Hair Cream comes in several variants:  Fruit Cocktail, Nutri-Sun Gloss, Duo Chocolate, Shea Butter, and Snake Oil effect. I picked out the Fruit Cocktail variant since it was the most popular among the bloggers. I’m also eyeing the Duo Chocolate and the Snake Oil effect but I chose this one instead. It’s available at 1000g and 450g jars (huge huh!)

Fruit Cocktail

I’m using the product as my daily conditioner for about 3 weeks now and I think it’s already enough to give a review. Btw, you can use it as a conditioner or a treatment depends on how long you want it to sit on your hair ;)

See the yellow and pink goodie inside?

Quality:  For me, it’s more like a conditioner than a treatment. It doesn’t really make a difference as a treatment like what Matrix Sensoria did. My hair becomes oily if I didn’t washed it the next day L (FYI there are days that I don’t wash my hair coz it’s healthier for my locks) but it is a very good hair conditioner. You need to use this product regularly to achieve good results.

Price: Dirt cheap for 185 pesos for a 450g jar & Php349.75 for 1000grams (1kg)! It will last you months for sure.

Will I purchase again? Yeah sure to try the chocolate one as my conditioner. For treatment, I’ll stick to Matrix Sensoria.

It’s a long post but I hope it helped. Have a good day!
