Back to Blogging! Skin Care Routine and Updates

I'm back! After almost five months of hiatus I finally felt the need to write again. So what happened? There's just a whirlwind of events in my life and I ended up landing from one job to another. Lots of trips and I have two upcoming events before I get busy again :)

Skin Care Update!

I recently re-vamped my skin care routine, completely changed from one facial cleanser to another, even my moisturizers! I took a big risk since my skin is sensitive and acne-prone, one bad product can cause a lot of damage to my face. I'm talking about facial treatments that I'm getting whenever I'm plagued with pimples ack! It's the pain I'm wary most.. From Celeteque facial wash to moisturizers, I changed everything. Though I'm still using some of my Celeteque moisturizers when I like things light.

Cleansing:

Bioderma Crealine H2O Solution Micellaire - a lot of blogger and make up artists raved about this product, even I do! Certainly removes your make up very well and leaving almost no trace behind. It has a little to no scent at all and it's water-based. A little goes a long way and didn't break me out. Downside is it's not available locally, I got mine from France, a gift from my Tita Melca. Digital Traincase also sells this online, but I'm not sure if they still have stocks.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub - ah, my Holy Grail face scrub! Nothing beats good old St. Ives for me. i use this once to twice a week prior to a facial cleanser.

SkinKlens Gentle Skin Cleanser  - is this a Cetaphil dupe? Certainly not, though almost similar. I use this product for mild cleaning. This is the big one and I have a smaller one to bring with me when traveling.

St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Gel Cleanser - this is my replacement for Celeteque facial wash, I cant say I love it as much as I loved Celeteque, or maybe the combination of this facial wash and my new moisturizer is making my sister and I's face shiny/oily. It's good that it has  Salicylic Acid which treats acne and the product claims to lessen redness.

 Face Masque and Toner:

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque - again, raved by a lot and I finally succumbed to its powers haha! I use this once to twice a week depends on my mood :)

Moringa-O Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner - infused with olive oil and omega sunflower oil. It's an anti-aging toner from Gluta C. Best for dry and sensitive skin as per label says. Awesome part? It's alcohol-free! I'm sooo inlove with the scent of this baby.

Eye, Lips and Face Creams:

Pure Beauty Youth Restore Essence with Black Pearl - this one's on sale and i figured, why not try it? You may be wondering why I'm into anti-aging stuff, prevention is better than cure ladies! It's advisable to use anti-aging creams as early as 20s to prevent premature wrinkles.

Olay Total Effects Anti-Ageing Eye Cream - i don't get it why Olay uses ageing instead of aging? Somebody answer me plz. Lol. I'm using this one instead of the red variant coz I think I'm still young for the regenerist line.. So far I'm liking its effect, been using this for almost 2 months now :)

Yves Rocher Hydra Specific Gel-Creme Moisturizer - awesome formula, nice scent. It's more cream than gel though. I think they changed the packaging of this baby, I'm not so sure. Though I love the sensitive skin variant more which I reviewed in one of my post.

Celeteque Sun Care Soothing Lip Balm - using this together with Maybelline's Baby Lips.

Extras:

Celeteque Facial Moisturizer and Hydrolyzed Moisturizing Mist - whenever I want something light and easy.

There you go! Never forget that investing in skin care will benefit you a lot and will save you from future treatments should you want to banish those wrinkles and spots. Prevention is always better than cure! As I'm writing this post, I'm actually itching to buy the SM Beauty Box I'm seeing in other blog posts, too bad it's only available at selected Watson's branches. I'll let you know more about it soon. Thanks for reading ladies!
