Snoe Beauty Inc.'s Snoe White Beauty Bar in Citronella & Moringa Review

Hey guys! So here's my blog post about Snoe Beauty Inc.'s Snoe White Beauty Bars I bought last time. I know I posted this a little bit too late (or too early to review?) but I'm trying my best to be objective in this review so I gave them enough time (for me at least) to check if the products were working or not.

What is Snoe White Beauty Bars anyway?

"Snoe White Beauty Bars are made with only the freshest and purest high-grade ingredients to provide superior whitening solutions. Our soaps are made with Dermatologist-approved formula to ensure that our beauty bars are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and safe for everyday use." *copied from their FB Catalogue*

If you haven't read my post about my haul, I bought the Citronella and Moringa variant of their beauty bars :)

Snoe White No. 6 Antibacterial Brightening Citronella Beauty Bar

Based on my experience with vegetable soaps, they melt way faster than regular soaps so I cut them in half first to give it a try. I may not have finished the whole bar yet (just half of it) but let me tell you that I'm the type of person who doesn't stick to one product for a long time coz I like changing my stuffs regularly or using a lot of products at a time. And I believe using up half of the bar gives me an idea if this baby is working or not :)

Half bar lasted me more than a week considering it's a vegetable soap, of course with the proper storage being the OC that I am haha. I'm using the soap once to twice a day everyday for more than a week straight until I finished it all up.

What does it do?

"For Flawless Skin: has anti-microbial properties that eliminates body odor, a natural skin antiseptic that is effective against skin disorders and rashes, prevents and heals pimples, contains Calamansi to whiten skin, promotes sleep and relaxation, calms sebaceous glands to produce a pimple-free and fairer skin."

First, why did I bought this variant while there were other interesting bars? Coz I have this little bumps on my arms since I was a kid and as I get older, I noticed that I also had it in my thighs now and some parts of my body. It's not in a kadiri way, it was actually almost unnoticeable unless you stare at them closely. I was hoping this bar could be the answer but I know it was a pipe dream LOL. I've been trying a lot from soaps to lotions to scrubs but I guess they won't go away.

Scent: Citronella is known for being a mosquito and bad odor buster but fear not ladies as the Citronella scent is very mild and it has a very refreshing citrus scent which I really love. Contrary to what they say that it promotes sleep and relaxation, it's more of a perk-me-up scent. Citrus scents are known for giving a boost of energy and that's what I love in this soap! Reminds me of St. Ives body wash.

Performance: VERY, and I mean, VERY effective when it comes to drying out those zits! I used this soap when I had my monthly visitor and like other ladies, I'm breaking out whenever I have my period. I didn't used this to my face in fear that it would be very strong (which I think it is) and I let Celeteque take care of it. Boy it was stingy! Especially with all those fresh acne. But I already expected this one because I read things about this too. But as the day passed, the stinging lessened for a bit and I noticed that my pimples have dried up and I'm happy with it, they didn't do anything about my bumps though, they even looked red, maybe because the soap is strong for them? I don't know. I also noticed that after 3 to 4 days of using the products, my skin shed off a bit when I towel dried my skin and that's when I say, "ah, the brightening effect!". I'll say this variant is doing it's job and definitely a repurch. I still have a back up though and I'll use it whenever I have those stubborn zits coming :)

Snoe White No. 12 Maximum Whitening Moringa Beauty Bar

Like I said, I love switching stuffs and uses different products at a time but I gave this product enough time like the Citronella one. I also cut it in half and I'm expecting a leafy-earthy scent but OMG as in oh my gosh.

What does it do?:

"With real Moringa Leaves: Rich in vitamins A, C, and E, contains high level of Oleic Acid that makes skin softer and smoother, has healing benefits for cuts, pimples and scrapes, daily use benefits include young, healthy-looking and radiant skin, slows down signs of skin aging, stimulates cell regeneration, reduces inflammation and gives a healthy white glow".

Scent: It smelled like fresh apples! Well for me at least. I'm not sure if apples were the accurate definition of the scent but it definitely has that unique scent to it, especially when wet and sitting on your skin for a couple of minutes, the leafy scent becomes noticeable but if you don't have a strong sense of smell, I doubt you can smell it. It's almost unnoticeable. It kinda reminds me of LUSH Demon in the Dark soap, with all the apple scents and stuff without the mint.

Performance: This soap is good for everyday use compare to the Citronella one (it's stronger and can be a bit drying). It has bits of dried leaves I suppose which acts as a mild exfoliant. It made my skin softer and smoother and I guess this baby will be a regular border in my closet, definitely worth having a back up. Repurch! As for the whitening property, I'm not a good candidate to check if I got whiter because I'm naturally in the lighter shade of skin already. And I don't pay attention in the whitening stuff that much, what's important to me is if it makes my skin in a better condition :)

Both soaps lather very well too! I suggest you cut the soap in half to prevent wastage of a good product. Storing it in a different container will help too :)

Will a repurchase? Definitely yes! I want to try other variants too, I'm eyeing the oatmeal and licorice one. Beauty Bars cost 139php each.

Rants and Rave: Northern Sale (14th of October) Trinoma Haul, The Body Shop Rainforest Shampoo and Conditioner

It was the last day of my biggest commitment this year and since it was all finished, I ought to treat myself a little :) I went to Trinoma and SM North Edsa to pay some bills, buy some necessary clothing and of course, eat my favorite Cebu dish! Well actually it was some sort of Chinese food but it was exclusive (before) in Cebu. They already have a branch here in Manila and I'm happy with it!

Let's start with my Landmark Trinoma Haul first!

I only intended to buy the FX hair iron thermal protect thingie or the Creamsilk Detangling Spray when I saw this Shinemoist Ionic Keratin Spray which I know is a good product to use before ironing hair as well. Price is 270 from 300pesos.

Next was the TRESemme Trial Pack, which was 89pesos for a bottle of shampoo and conditioner (90ml) each. It's way better to try small amount first than investing in their full sized bottles which costs 280php ea. They also gave me a sample pack of 10ml each.

I also decided to buy my FIRST hair coloring kit. Revlon Colorsilk in Auburn Brown. It was actually a dilemma whether to buy it or not because it was my first time to color my hair though I was always mistaken for having a colored one. I was born a brunette and this is my original hair color :)

I bought this shade coz I know it was less noticeable by my dad haha! :P it was a couple of shades darker than my natural hair color. Revlon Colorsilk costs 395 less 50pesos discount.

A Nail Clipper, TRIM is a good brand I guarantee you. Two pants, one dress and a shoes as well. If you're a beauty on budget I suggest you check Landmark as they sell good quality products in reasonable prices :)

I went to SM North to buy my favorites Steamed Fried Rice, but I got stressed because of one employee which I forgot the name. But luckily, a guy named "Seph" (I think) happily put more sauce in my order. It's all about customer service right? Why make a customer unhappy if all she was asking was to put more sauce in her Steamed Rice LOL. I understand they're tired because of the volume of customers but duh *rolls eyes*. I've been to Cebu with a sale as well but still they handled orders efficiently. Oh! Plus: Steamed Fried Rice here in Manila tastes waaaay different to Cebu's D:

One last rant (please bear with me) I have a love-hate relationship with The Body Shop's Rainforest Volume Shampoo and Conditioner (my last blog post tells that I bought it in their sale). Yeah they guarantee you crazy volume! Like, ugh my curls were forming and I feel like my hair is a big mess yuck. They leave residue big time and they're very drying! Conditioner is a big failure, doesn't moisturizes even a bit. Shampoo is good though as it really cleans your hair and c'mon they're Sulfate-free. So you get what I mean? I love them for doing their job and being Sulfate-free but I hate the way they feel on my hair :( I'm not using them anymore and I'm thinking of ways on how can I finish them without suffering lol. Such a waste of money. Guess that's all for now!

Thanks for reading bella! Watch out for my reviews of Snoe Beauty Bar soon!

The Body Shop PH
Snoe Beauty Inc.

The other night (3rd of October) I was busy browsing new stuffs when I saw a blog post of one of my favorite blogger and I saw that The Body Shop were having a HUGE sale, and I mean HUGE discount!!

I actually planned to visit the store after my commitments were all finished but yesterday, an idea popped out of my mind and I messaged one of my girlfriends and asked her to come with me! Yeah, I know, I just had to get it over with so I can focus on what I should do haha.

So here's what the sale is about:

To know more about the discounts, please read HERE :)

I'm a little bit disappointed at the branch I went to because they seemed a bit confused on what's on sale and what's not. SO, I only grabbed a few items and left. I had my friend with me so we managed to get a hold of the 50% off because we bought more than 4 items. (you only need 4 of the selected sale items to avail of the 50%off) :)

Individual items:

The Body Shop's Body Butter in Peach. Heard it's discontinued because they released a new peach scent "Vineyard Peach". 695php

The Body Shop's Rainforest Voluminizing Shampoo and Conditioner at 695php/ea.

I got them for 50% off as my friend also bought their White Musk perfume. When we're paying at the counter, I saw their Born Lippy Lip Butters on sale so I went ahead and grabbed my favorite flavor in Guava.

Retails 250php/ea, sale price is 195php.

I also visited Snoe Beauty Inc.'s store at Las Pinas and bought these soaps :)

Citronella Bar

Moringa Bar

I also bought a back up of  Yves Rocher Moisturizer for my brother!

Will make a review soon. Thanks for reading bella!

Alice Blue Candle Haul & Review

Me and my hubby were strolling around Glorietta when I remembered reading about Alice Blue Candles from femalenetwork.com (also known as Girltalk). Being a candle junkie that I am lately, I convinced my hubby that I need it and being the supportive guy he is, he likes seeing me happy so he gave in haha :P BUT, he reminded me THIS:

Okay! So I got super excited and went waaay beyond my limit. I was actually going to try one of their 2oz/56.6g in White Tea & Ginger because it's their best seller but I found the scent too light for my taste so I opted for Cranberry Spice instead.

As you can see, it's not just one candle. And here's the story:

The SA told me that the votive ones were on sale for buy one get one until supplies last. So I also bought the scent in Lemongrass. Later that day, I told my hubby that I need to take advantage of the sale so I went back there and bought another scent in Bamboo. I know the last two scents were one of their mild ones but I don't want to get their lavender and berry as I find those two scents very common. I know I'm being unreasonable again, so much for "trying" right? Here's the description of the scents anyways.

Cranberry Spice - a fresh mix of cranberries, warmed with soft spice of cinnamon, clove and ginger.

Lemongrass - a combination of lemongrass, neroli, orange blossom, rose and jasmine.

Bamboo - a blend of Asian spices, grassy notes, citrus, jasmine, cyclamen, and lavender.

Okay so I'll review not about the scents but the performance of these candles, no doubt they all smell good and I love love the scent of Cranberry Spice because of the cinnamon in it. They all gave me a good cold throw which means very strong scent even though it's not burning yet.

I immediately lighted one of the Bamboo candles and it smells so good! However, it's a votive one so I have to put it in one of my candle holder and waited for it to melt down and have an even pool, in which, i had a hard time doing so I did the tin foil trick for candles, google it if you want so you'll know how to burn your candles appropriately. My brother even complimented my room's scent when he barged in to get some of my moisturizer which was running super low now.

So I was happy with it til it went half way and I noticed thin, drowning wicks :( the fire almost died on me so I went ahead and scoop out some excess wax to give room for the wick to function again, what a waste right? I have to do that two more times and I got really really disappointed with it. Plus, when i turned it off and decided to burn it again, it doesn't smelled that strong anymore, you have to inhale the candle directly just for you to smell the scent! It also smelled a little bit burned :( such a waste for a 129php candle. Let's face it, I'm not being cheap or what but it's pretty expensive for a votive candle which I usually buy for 49php THIS.

I burned Cranberry Spice next and I fell inlove with it, it pooled evenly though I still used the tin foil trick just to make sure. But then again, after the first burn, the scent got weaker but it's still the dominant scent in my room now.

Cranberry Spice burning

I also burned the Lemongrass together with it and as usual, same as the Bamboo one.

Will I repurchase? No. Maybe! But no matter how hard I try to love these candles, I was really disappointed with the votive ones, but the 2oz were good I must say and I recommend trying their Cranberry Spice scent!

So much for the hype. I wanted to try their other products and I'll give the other scents a shot, maybe I was given a bad candle? Or maybe the reason the votive ones were on buy one get one is because it's an old stock. I should have gotten White Tea & Ginger instead of the votives. :(

The votive one costs 129php/ea and the 2oz costs 189php/ea. Alice Blue Candles were available at Glorietta 3.

Have a good day bella!

Wet 'n' Wild 511B Nouveau Pink, Sunday Haul

Got this baby yesterday and I just had to try it out! What caught my attention was not the color but the name of the color itself - Nouveau Pink. Is it similar to MAC's Pink Nouveau?

It has a pretty neon-ish pink color on the tube. With a little hint of blue but very minimal.

Taken under natural light. Poor photo quality sorry.

When swatched. It's very creamy and not drying, as expected from Markwins--Wet 'n' Wild lipsticks.

When worn, taken under natural light and indoors.

Yesterday's loots from Sunday Shopping!
-top from Terranova
-footwear from Kicks
-skinny belts from Genevieve Gozum
-accessories from Genevieve Gozum
-lipstick from Wet 'n' Wild

Oh by the way, have you ever hit a pan or you just toss your current powder and buy a new one?

Have a good day everyone! xx
